2019 saw Rommy criss-crossing the US. After directing and choreographing Playhouse Square's Dazzle Awards in Cleveland, he worked with the dancers of NYCDA's Summer Dance Institute. His next stop was Martha's Vineyard to workshop new material with the Musical Theater Lab at the Vineyard Arts Project. In New York, Rommy worked with Dick Scanlan on Sherie Rene Scott and Norbert Leo Butz's Two-Hander at 54 Below.
The Unsinkable Molly Brown is gearing up for previews beginning February 8th, 2020. starring Beth Malone and introducing David Aron Damane with Whitney Bashor, Alex Gibson, Omar Lopez-Cepero, Paolo Montalban, Karl Josef Co, Paula Leggett Chase, Tyrone Davis Jr., Gregg Goodbrod, Michael Halling, Keven Quillon, Kaitlyn Davidson, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Shina Ann Morris, and CoCo Smith.
This revitalized production with a book and new lyrics by Dick Scanlan (based on the original book by Richard Morris - music and lyrics by Meredith Willson) and music adaptation by Michael Rafter is Directed and Choreographed by Kathleen Marshall.
